On Hiatus...

Ok..I've been really bad at this blog thing. But I do have a good excuse...I started a new job. Teaching 3rd grade for the rest of the school year...I feel like I've been flying by the seat of my pants for the past week and a half. I have some great pictures to post...and i promise I'll do it tomorrow. i had agreat Mother's day...I hope you all did too. We are so lucky to have such amazing moms and children!!!
Speaking of amazing...got an email from matt's teacher today. She did a reading test with him...and "normal" kindergarten children are expected to get a 3 or 4. And guess what my little Einstein got....a 14. Yes, you saw it right.....a 14. She even commented on what a hard little worker he is. Brandon passed the email along to everyone he knows because he is so proud (and rightly so!) Now, i am a teacher but I haven't done "running records" for a LLLLOOOOOONNNNGGGGG time, so I don't really remember what the score means. And I was so excited about his score that i forgot to email her back to ask her what it means. I don't really want to sound stupid either! No, really, I'm curious to see what this means for 1st grade. I'm guessing something along the lines of a HIGH reading group. I don't mean to brag, but.....
Check back again for pics...and no, I don't have any of Joe falling off the rope ladder. I was too busy trying not to pee my pants. Even if I wasn't supposed to be laughing, i just couldn't help it. I hid in the house for a bit until I could get myself under control. And Joe, if your reading this, I REALLY am glad your okay....and your not going to sue us. I'll have Brandon build a staircase so you can see the bird's nest "next year, when you get big!"
